The PMC Quick Note is a weekly service provided to all area directors.  It is part of our mission to support the lives of band directors across the Midwest.  The weekly Quick Note contains helpful tips and suggestions from area directors, spotlights on area college and university band programs, calendars of upcoming events, advocacy articles promoting music education, links to helpful web resources, and much more.  Comments, suggestions, ideas, and articles are always welcome.

Looking for help on a particular topic? Be sure to check out our Quick Note Catalog of back issues.

News From The Midwest Clinic
In 2003, the Midwest Clinic began placing streaming videos of concert selections on our website for viewing throughout the following year.  Each year since this very successful program has created a resource library of almost one-hundred pieces for use by educators and attendees around the world.

We are happy to announce that ten selections from the 2006 Web Archive are now available as video Podcasts.  Unlike streaming videos, these files can be downloaded to your computer's hard drive or your video iPod and played repeatedly.  (They will not work on audio-only iPods.)  Please visit www.midwestclinic.org/videos/band_archive.asp and look for the green apple icon to find instructions on obtaining these files.

The countdown to the 2007 Midwest Clinic stands at 232 days.  A very strong schedule of events is taking shape, and we will be announcing the clinic sessions in early May.  Please visit our homepage (www.midwestclinic.org) for all the information pertaining to this year's conference.

Sincerely,
Darcy A. Nendza
Associate Director - The Midwest Clinic

Scholarship Available from MWBDA
